Hello, my name is Susan Richardson, and together with many family and friends who continued to tell me that I should make my living surrounded by animals, I founded Precious Paws Pet Care.

Our home base is located in beautiful Easton, Maryland.

Precious Paws was started out of my great love of animals, the desire to provide a unique alternative to boarding for those who need assistance in caring for their family pets. When I decided to start my own business, pet sitting was a natural choice for me.

Sometimes it appears that kennels are cheaper, but are they? What IS the best care you can provide for your priceless pets? Can you image how your pet must feel when placed in a cage, watching you walk out and drive away?

Will you call Jeff, the next door neighbor boy and pray he doesn't forget or decide to have a party at your house? Will you check with the kennel or your vet to see if they have cages available? Will you ask your sister, mother, brother, or that nice old lady who lives across the street? Do you really want to impose on a friend, neighbor or relative who may forget to care for your pet or might not know what to do in the event of an emergency?

From my earliest memories, animals have seemed to trust and gravitate towards me. I've always had a special relationship with them and I have loved, cared for and raised pets my entire life, including: dogs, cats, birds and fish (freshwater and marine). No matter whether they have fins, fur or feathers, I have a special love for animals and care deeply for their well being.

My partner Derek and I are proud to call the Eastern Shore home, Derek works in webpage development and interent marketing as well as running around Easton taking care of our towns fine furry friends. We currrently share our home with a dog, a cat and a hamster, who all co-exist quite peacefully!

I am currently enrolled in on-line accreditation courses to further my knowledge of pet care and animal first aide. Knowledge in pets and their care is a continual process. The animals themselves teach me something new every day. Having years of experience in caring for my own and other's pets, extensive knowledge in pet care, alertness to changes in behavior, being responsive, responsible, calm, conscientious and reliable, all help to make me the best Pet care professional I can be.

Professional pet sitting is not an economy care option and we realize it may not be in everyone's budget.
